Description of Seeds Pick up and Place Case Packer Packing Machine
This seeds-specialized pick up and place case packer is an automated end-of-line packaging equipment designed to efficiently load seed products—including bagged seeds (premade zipper pouches, doypacks, or pillow bags), seed cans, or seed jars—into corrugated cases, cartons, or trays for bulk storage and transportation.
Tailored to the characteristics of seed products (such as light weight, small package size, and the need for gentle handling to avoid package damage or seed spillage), the machine integrates precision mechanical systems and intelligent control to complete the case packing process with high accuracy and stability.
Core Working Process
- Product Infeed & Sorting: Packaged seed products are conveyed to the machine’s feeding station via a conveyor belt. The system automatically sorts and arranges the products into a predefined pattern (e.g., 4×6, 3×5 rows) based on case size and packaging requirements.
- Pick up & Positioning: A set of custom grippers (vacuum suction cups for flexible bags, mechanical clamps for rigid cans/jars) precisely picks up the arranged seed packages. The pick-and-place mechanism is calibrated to ensure gentle gripping, preventing package tearing, zipper damage, or seed leakage.
- Case Preparation: Empty corrugated cases are automatically fed into the case forming station, where the machine erects the flat cases, folds the bottom flaps, and seals them with tape or glue to form stable, ready-to-load containers.
- Loading & Arrangement: The pick-and-place arm transfers the gripped seed packages into the erected cases according to the preset layer and row layout. It ensures uniform arrangement to maximize case space utilization and prevent package shifting during transit.
- Case Sealing & Discharge: After the case is filled to the specified quantity, the machine folds the top flaps of the case and seals them (tape sealing, hot melt glue sealing, or sticker sealing are optional). The fully packed cases are then discharged onto a conveyor for palletizing or warehouse storage.
